The village nestles on the Three Rivers estuary of Carmarthen Bay, and enjoys views of Ferryside and the ancient castle of Llansteffan. From the castle you have beautiful views of Carmarthen Bay the Gower Bay and westerly towards Pendine sands.


Within the locality of Llansteffan are facilities for horse riding, four by four off road driving, there are golf courses situated at Carmarthen and at Bancyfelin, due to the coastal estuary of Llansteffan beach fishing is easily accessible.

Llansteffan has two family friendly pubs, which serve food; also in the village is the Hen Tafarn Restaurant.
